The Amafu Headboard is inspired by gently flowing cumulus clouds, the type that evoke a sense of tranquillity and lightness of being. Dreamy clouds.

Just as clouds are layered and three-dimensional, so too is the construction of the Amafu headboard; the layered arrangement of three panels of plywood is reflective of the layered depth of clouds, while the rounded edges allude to the imagined softness.

The name "Amafu" is the Xhosa word for "clouds."
